The SureWash Story

SureWash was founded on a simple set of principles. There are an estimated quarter of a million deaths worldwide per annum as a result of hospital acquired infections. Most noteworthy, the WHO and CDC believe that 50% of these deaths are as a result of poor hand hygiene practices. Therefore, what may appear to be a relatively simple skill is alarmingly lacking in compliance.

Although SureWash started out in the healthcare setting, we are not expanding into other industries such as pharmaceutical, food services, the corporate setting and also the sports sector. Hand hygiene has become prevalent in the everyday life and SureWash can help organisations deliver quality training to ensure employees know how to clean their hands correctly, to the standard of a nurse or doctor. SureWash not only save your organisation time and money, but we can help reduce the spread of infections. Training is engaging and the system takes learning out of the classroom setting, into the day to day work environment. As a result, training is available 24/7, instant feedback being delivered to track user’s compliance in hand hygiene technique. By gamifying the learning process, repetition of learning is encouraged, and muscle memory is built. Hence, this increases hand hygiene compliance rates by as much as 50% when incorporated into a multi-modal approach.
