Good hand hygiene should be practised at all times especially in healthcare settings, however, the WHO has designated 5th May as Hand Hygiene Day. Healthcare facilities & workers are encouraged to make focussed efforts to show their commitment to hand hygiene. 5th May is our opportunity to celebrate the attention to patient care shown by our customers in the application of quality hand hygiene. This basic skill while globally recognised today, is an intrinsic part of patient care everyday & a challenge for us all to master and apply.
