An annual recognition event intended to encourage everyone to learn more about healthcare safety.
Patient Safety Awareness Week begins on Sunday 14th March this year. We hope you can join us in advancing important discussions locally and globally and inspire action to improve the safety of the health care system — for patients and the workforce.
Hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infections in healthcare settings. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to highlight the importance of hand hygiene on patient safety. Our mission has, and always will be to provide education and training to all staff, patients, and visitors.
What is your hospital planning to do to get involved?
People around the globe participated in Patient Safety Awareness Week 2020 in creative ways. To get some ideas, visit the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) page here and make sure to share with them what you have planned for the week here.
For access to additional resources, IHI have provided different posters and toolkits for your convenience. Make sure to check them out: Patient Safety Awareness Week Resources.
At SureWash, we support all patient safety efforts this week and every week.
Remember, if you have a SureWash device, make sure to encourage interaction from everyone who enters your facility. We always love to see our training in use so make sure to take photos and share them on social media with us. Help us continue to spread awareness regarding the importance of hand hygiene to reduce healthcare associated infections (HAIs).
Send us a message and we will get back to your shortly.
